Some of my favourite things

2015

‘Some of my favourite things’ installation This installation is about the artist’s retrospective on her identity. She has lived in various places while growing up, that she finds her current identity is a mesh-up of different cultures she has been exposed to. Bibiana finds that her food palate illustrates the mesh of cultures that have been soaked in. Food and how they are served distinguishes a nation’s culture and tradition. Hence her choice of metaphor , the use of the common plates and bowls and cups and saucers with food text written on the crockeries to represent her current identity. With globalization, many people may experience this same phenomena as Bibiana.
